New dates are announced for the Dockers Strike in Britain. Dockers Strike hit Britain as new dates are announced. The strike is announced in Felixstowe. The workers have rejected to work on a real-term pay cut. Strikes will continue in the busiest container port of Britain. Previously, the workers announced the strike due to the payment system. They want more wages. Unite today announced that the dockers have rejected the real-terms pay cut. An announcement was made by the bosses to impose a real-term pay cut.
Union’s opinion
The Union puts forward that last week the management at Suffolk’s Felixstowe Dock and the railway company ended pay talks. Pay talks by them have been completed without taking others’ agreement. It happened to be a one-to-one conversation. They have introduced a below-inflation wage boost by just 7 percent. Experts conclude that the current retail price index inflation is 12.3 percent and is expected to rise further.
Unite for the Dockers
Unite includes 1900 blue-collar workers. It represents the works in a vital port. The members of Unite have rejected the voting. They are against the imposition of an expansion of 82 percent on a 72 percent turnout. They have a situation in front of them that is not acceptable. The dockers announce a strike to improve their working conditions along with their wages. The mega-rich global port operator CK Hutchison accused the union of promoting a national agenda. The promotion is at the expense of their employees.

The Dockers Strategy
They failed in an attempt to secure their way of pay. The dockers are set to repeat the last month’s strike. Dockers last month walked out of work for eight-day at the port. The port at Felixstowe handles more than half of the country’s container goods. The dockers are set to go on strike again between 27 September and 5 October. Bobby Morton the United National Officer has claimed about the latest industrial action. Industrial action is something entirely of Felixstowe’s own making.
