Sometimes you just want a nonsense film to sit back and enjoy, and Monster Party can deliver exactly on that. Set around a group of thieves who decide to rob a mansion at a dinner party. They soon find that the attendees of this party are not normal people by any stretch of the imagination and are rather psychotic. Monster Party goes back to a Tarantino-eske era where people and characters are extremely expendable and many plot points are mentioned that don’t fully play out. But if you can look past these writing beats and just want something silly to enjoy, this may be the film for you. Because what’s worse than being stuck in your own home, than getting to watch a selection of characters with dubious mortalities stuck in a mansion with one another?
