Monkey World – Ape Rescue Centre is a 65 acre park in the heart of the Dorset countryside. It’s home to over 250 rescued monkeys and apes of 20 different species.
The expert team of primate care staff rehabilitate and integrate the animals into natural living groups. The park is open from 10am-5pm every day apart from Christmas Day (extended to 6pm during July & August) and provides fun and education to people of all ages.

On the 33rd anniversary of the first chimps arriving at Monkey World, learn about their rescues and journey to the park, and their plight in the wild, with talks, stalls and trails! No additional fee.
1st July – 31st August > Summer at Monkey World!
Celebrate summer by visiting for an extra hour! Monkey World is open until 6pm every day in July and August. Free trail sheet available for every child who visits, and the activity centre is open for kids during the schools holidays too.

Wednesday 19th August > International Orang-utan Day
Celebrate our orange cousins at Monkey World and learn about their tragic plight in the wild, with talks, stalls and trails! No additional fee.
1st – 30th September > September For Seniors
Monkey World is celebrating our seniors this September, and any visitor over 65 will get half price entry to the park! Treetops café will also be running special meal deals throughout September too!

Saturday 24th October > International Gibbon Day
Learn about the species of gibbon at the park, their plight in the wild, and what Monkey world’s charity, EAST is doing to help bolster wild populations in Vietnam. Support the day through talks, trails and stalls, with no additional fee on entrance.
Saturday 24th October – Sunday 1st November > Creatures of the night
Get your Creatures of the Night activity sheet with Monkey World’s Halloween half-term pack, available every day from 24th October to 1st November. The children’s activity centre is also open with spooky sand art and creepy crafts, and a spook station in the park will introduce children to creatures of the night!
Saturday 31st October > Halloween at Monkey World
FREE entry for children in FULL Halloween fancy dress. Free fancy dress competition with prizes, as well as the Activity Centre open for children.
