Liverpool Pride

Presenting #AllTogetherNow, Liverpool Pride is an entirely volunteer-led charity that combats homophobia and trans-phobia across the Liverpool City Region and beyond to raise awareness of LGBT+ lives.
The annual celebration of all things LGBTQ+ will again take place across two days – Saturday 28 July and Sunday 29 July.
For nine log year, more than 8000 people are jogging to the march and over 50,000 enjoying two days of entertainment to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gender communities.
Bringing together international artists, performers and homegrown talent which has emerged over the last decade, more than 40 events and festivals will take place in and across the city region, including firsts, one-off spectacles and some returning, crowd-pulling favourites. The programme brings together the worlds of music, sport, ships, the best of Chinese art, great food and drink.
This year, Pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor who shot to fame as a vocalist on Spiller’s huge number one single Groovejet and then followed it up with Take Me Home, will headlines the Barclays Main Stage on Saturday 28 July which will focus on the area round Tithebarn Street on Liverpool Pride Festival.
Joining pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the main stage will also bringing including international drag star and winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2018, Courtney Act; cast from Kinky Boots, Queen Zee, Osvaldo Supino, The Major Tour; Melissa Totten, Rogue Minogue, and House of Suarez.
The Liverpool Pride March officially starts the Liverpool Pride weekend on Saturday 28 June, starting from St George’s Hall and finishing at Moorfields. Featuring two new plays and two updated productions from the Queertet catalogue, Live theatre will continues with Grin Theatre: Queertet 2018 at The Casa on 26 and 27 July.
Other than this, Pride at The Pictures, Tate Exchange will host Liverpool Pride: Producing Equality, Come Out of the Shadows will be there.
The fun continues Sunday 28 July with Liverpool Pride Sundae and the #AllTogetherNow Community Zone. Family day Pride Sundae’s hub at The Bluecoat will feature dance, arts and craft activities, food market, and barbecue in the Bluecoat Garden, alongside Pride events at the International Slavery Museum, Walker Art Gallery, Museum of Liverpool and Liverpool Cathedral.
