What> Started in 1980 the Largs Viking Festival marks the 1263 Battle of Largs, this is a week-long celebration of their culture. Enjoy and take part in the many activities staged during the Week by visiting the Viking Village on Largs Seafront. The most popular festival includes owl magic, handcrafted Viking jewellery and a Scottish food and craft fayre. Largs Viking Festival commemorates the event with 8 days of celebrations. The town itself has Viking street names – Haco Street is named after King Haakon, and Danefield Avenue was coined after the Viking language.
