Keanu Reeves expressed interest in joining the MCU

Keanu Reeves has expressed his desire to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor has been linked to a major superhero franchise. He told Esquire that joining a “superhero” film franchise would be “an honor.”

When questioned about his thoughts on the MCU, the actor first asked. “Isn’t it bigger than a universe?” Also said “It’s almost like a multiverse… It’s a Marvel-verse.”

The Matrix Resurrections, starring Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, will be released soon; you can watch the trailer for the new film below.

In an interview with Esquire, the 57-year-old actor discussed the possibility of acting in a Marvel picture. And the way he conveyed his emotions on the subject.

“It would be an honour. There’s some really amazing directors, and visionaries, and they’re doing something no one’s ever really done.

“It’s special in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it’d be cool to be a part of that.”

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, and Telma Hopkins will all reprise their roles in The Matrix Resurrections, with newcomers Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, and Telma Hopkins joining the franchise.

Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres, for example, will not be reprising their roles from earlier films. Torres voiced dissatisfaction with her removal from the upcoming picture, while Fishburne claimed earlier this year that he was still puzzled why Wachowski didn’t invite him back.

On December 22, 2021, The Matrix Resurrections will be released in UK theaters. The same day in the United States, it will be available on HBO Max.
