Kaala ( Black) is an upcoming Indian Tamil language drama film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush. Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi, Dhanush, Nana Patekar, Easwari Rao are in the lead role. The film is expected to be released on 7th June 2018. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
Kaala who runs away from Tirunelveli in his childhood, moves to Mumbai where he becomes a powerful don living in the slums of Dharavi. The film will have a strong political message and this is a story between good and evil. But as a departure from tradition, in this film the good is dressed in black, while the evil in white. The main plot of ‘Kaala’ revolves around the oppressed Tamils of Mumbai, and Rajinikanth will be reportedly playing the role of a don.
