Jonathan Davis – Black Labyrinth

There’s a tendency for solo albums to be extravagant tortuous affairs filled with wild experimentation or muted stoicism. ‘Black Labyrinth’ is a lesson in how to do it right. Davis has taken his work with Korn as a starting point, kept the memorable vocals he has and then written a set of songs that just work beautifully. This is an album you just know will be treasured for years to come by fans and will also act as a great intro to people new to both him and his band. This is as fine a solo album by an noted band member that you’ll hear in a very long time.
