Film Friday: Top Christmas Movies of All Time to Watch!

This weekend we are here with classic holiday films, from It’s a Wonderful Life to Home Alone, which will get you in the holiday spirit, so don’t miss it out!

It’s a Wonderful Life

This 1946 Frank Capra film isn’t just one of the best Christmas movies of all time, it’s one of the absolute best movies ever imagined. It’s a Wonderful Life was nominated for six Academy Awards. It also ranks #11 on the American Film Institute’s original list of the 100 Greatest American Films of All Tim.

A Christmas Story

There’s a reason why TBS plays A Christmas Story for 24 hours straight every Christmas. The classic gave us the infamous leg lamp and Red Ryder BB guns. Most importantly, it taught us to never lick a frozen pole (even under the intense pressure of a “triple dog dare”).

The Grinch

No list of Christmas movies is truly complete without this animated version of one of our most cherished holiday stories.  It has Benedict Cumberbatch taking on the voice of our favorite green holiday grump.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

You can say it is a Christmas movie and a Halloween movie as well. Our favorite lover of black and white paint (coupled with spiral staircases) Tim Burton blends both holidays together in a way that’s both spooky and heartwarming all at the same time. You’ll want to boogie to the original tunes in this 90s holiday favorite.

Home Alone

Over thirty years have passed since the most-watched Christmas movie Home Alone earned $285 million at the box office, but we still love watching 8-year-old Kevin McCallister plot and scheme his way out of a home burglary.
