Festival No. 6, a Unique kind of Music Festival

Festival No.6 is the UK’s most unique experience. It’s a diverse, eclectic and inclusive music festival which takes place from September 6-9 in the UK town of Portmeirion, showcasing a broad lineup across some of the coastal village’s most intimate and unique spaces. Festival Number 6 takes its name from the main character of the cult TV show The Prisoner, which was filmed in the village in the 1960s. A multi award-winning music, arts and culture festival.
The festival’s programme is more than just a music and arts, however, also delving into literature readings, talks, poetry, comedy, theatre, wellbeing and a host of other activities, such as woodland runs, paddle boarding and hot-tub relaxation.
The village and surrounding woodlands of the festivals come alive during the festival as a unique series of surreal and inspiring venues.
It’s the ultimate escape from reality, a place to see favourite artists in a breath-taking setting, or a place where performers are as inspired as the audience – a platform to present new work and collaborations in unique and intimate venues, a place like no other where like-minded individuals gather and embrace new ideas, inspired to take risks and push boundaries.
It has become an annual pilgrimage for the last six years for Manchester music lovers – but after this year Festival No 6 will be no more.
Organisers of the music and arts festival have announced they want to take a break after the seventh edition in September, which they say will be ‘the last for now’.
This year’s music line up is headlined by The The, Franz Ferdinand and Friendly Fires, topping a bill including Manchester favourites The Charlatans, Everything Everything, Go-Go Penguin, Django Django, Franz Ferdinand, The Horrors and Manchester Camerata.
The other performers include this year Jessie Ware, The Horrors, Gaz Coombes, Ride and Anna Calvi.
Tickets can be bought online and price starts from €11.40 to €370
