More than a decade after dropping her debut solo album, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas is back with a bang. Showing off the US singer’s versatility, Double Dutchess offers an eclectic mix of feisty hip-hop/pop hybrids, sassy raps and striking ballads.
Citing ambition, opener ‘Hungry’ shows Fergie means business, leading to the energetic, catchy beats of ‘Like It Ain’t Nuttin’. We see Fergie’s softer side with beautiful ballads like the heartfelt ‘Save It Til Morning’, and album closer ‘Love is Pain’, which is full of vulnerability and raw emotion.
Guest stars on the album include Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and in a bold move, even Fergie’s four-year old son, Axl Jack. The album also features previously released singles ‘LA Love’ from 2014, and 2016’s ‘M.I.L.F. $’.
