A copyright lawsuit has come to light which refers to Ed Sheeran as a co-writer.
The massively famous singer helped to penĀ ‘The Rest Of Our Life’ with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, a song which has now been singled out for its likeness toĀ āWhen I Found Youā, performed by Jasmine Rae.
āThe Rest Of Our Lifeā, Ā which was international hit for Tim and Faith, was ‘blatantly copied’ fromĀ āWhen I Found Youā, according to theĀ Australian duo Sean Carey and Beau Golden.
The pair have representation in the form of lawyerĀ Richard Busch ā the same manĀ behind the lawsuit against Ed and his ‘Photograph’ single. In this case, the singer has been named as a co-writer (along with Johnny McDaid, Steve Mac and Amy Wadge).
As it stands, the Aussie couple are seekingĀ $5million in damages and have requested an injunction for the song to be permanently blocked.
