Dua Lipa teamed up with two of the world’s biggest producers Diplo and Mark Ronson and unveiled new track ‘Electricity’ which is set to released from their Silk City project.
The track, which emerged online late last night, is heavily influenced by 90s house influences – and backed by Lipa’s instantly recognisable vocals.
The accompanying video for the song sees Dua light up the dancefloor at a party, eventually joined by her Silk City collaborators, aka Mark Ronson and Diplo.
Last month, Silk City made their UK live debut at Bestival. Describing the set, a report wrote, “Standing in Silk City branded matching jackets, Diplo and Mark Ronson bop along in unison.
Dua recently announced details of a re-release of her self-titled debut album, called Dua Lipa – The Complete Edition, which features Electricity plus three more brand new tracks Want To, Running, and Kiss And Make Up, a collaboration with K-pop girl group BLACKPINK.
Speaking after presenting her with a prize at the GQ Men Of The Year Award, the producer told the Press Association: “I’ve known Dua for a while, I got her number because I was a big fan and I wanted to do something a couple of years back.
“We made a song together with Wale and Major Lazer, we actually played it at Glastonbury, but then we have written this song, me and Mark Ronson, called Electricity, and we asked Dua if she likes it and she loved it”.
