Doom Days

Artist>  Bastille
‘Doom Days’ is the third studio album by British indie pop band Bastille, released on 14 June by Virgin EMI Records. It was preceded by the release of four singles: ‘Quarter Past Midnight’, ‘Doom Days’, ‘Joy’ and ‘Those Nights’. The band started their run of live shows in May and are playing at music festivals in the UK and across Europe until August in support of the album.
This will be followed by the first part of their Doom Days Tour across the USA, Canada and Mexico from September to October, and then they will finish 2019 with a run of 9 intimate UK dates supporting local venues away from the usual touring route.
The album is described as a concept album about an “apocalyptic party”, as well as “the importance of escapism, hope and the preciousness of close friendships”.
Bastille’s Kyle Simmons told WhatsOn: “It is set across the course of a night beginning at quarter past midnight and ending the next morning waking on the kitchen floor. A house party with your friends and closing the curtains while an apocalypse is going on outside”.
