Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0, the largest music festival in the country, was held for the second time in a splendid manner on Thursday. The audience got a chance again to experience Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 in a new way at the Navratri Hall of Bashundhara International Convention in the capital.
With this, after four long years, one of the popular bands of Bangladesh ‘Aurthohin’ has started their show in Dhaka. The whole concert was full of spectators. Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 was applauded by the audience. It was more like a reunion fair for the bands and fans as well.
Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 is organized by SkyTracker Limited and sponsored by Banglalink Digital Communication Limited. The CEO of SkyTracker, Doza Alan talked with WhatsOn and shared his feelings regarding the fest. He said,
“we always wanted to give a platform to the youth, and wanted to make a connection among the artists and fans. Finally, we get the chance to bring the audience and artists together. We will keep it going as we have done in 2019.”
Kazi Urfi Ahmad, Brands and Communications Director at Banglalink said WhatsOn that “we are overwhelmed to be a part of this fest. We, Banglalink, always stand for youth, Bangla band, music, and we will always be for them.”
Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 was organized this year to entertain the people of the capital and to say goodbye to 2021, even though it could not be organized for the music lovers last year due to Corona. The gates of this day-long concert opened at 10 am. Moreover, the whole event was live-streamed in the country’s popular entertainment app the Toffee.
At the beginning of the concert, Arekta Rock Band started with a patriotic song on the occasion of the 50th year of independence. The first song moved the audience with emotion. In between, the organizers listened to behind story of the concert. After that Thrash appeared on the stage. After that Shubhayatra appears to excite the audience.
Then the band The Tree came on stage and sang “Ichche Akash”. Bashundhara’s Navratri was cheered with applause. Aftermath’s lead vocalist Nabid came on stage and sang the song ‘Nisangata’.
Conclusions, Calypso, Brahmaputra, Shrapnel Method, Subconscious, Indalo then appeared on the stage one by one.
Later, Avoidrafa sang the song ” Ami Akash Pathabo ” on the stage. Later, to the delight of the audience, he sang, ” Cholo Arekbar Uri.”
After that, the wait came to an end and Cryptic Fate came on the stage. This is how the band entertains them one by one. The whole hall was packed with spectators, most of them young & enthusiastic people.
Popular bands like Warfaze, Aurthohin, Avoidrafa, Cryptic fate, Aftermath, Indalo, Shubhayatra, Conclusion, Shrapnel Method, Brahmaputra, Thrash, The Tree, Subconscious, Arekta Rock Band, Calypso take part in this day-long concert.
