Dhaka International Film Festival: 19th Edition

The Dhaka International Film Festival is coming back with its 19th edition in 2021, from January 16 – 24. Puza Snigdha reports.


Including the online streaming, the film fair will be streamed at Bangladesh National Museum, Sufia Kamal National Public Library, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, and Star Cineplex. To watch the event online, the audience must have to register in advance.

Ahmed Muztaba Zamal, the director of the festival has confirmed the news and said “festival will be held both physically and virtually”, as the whole world is facing the pandemic.

The festival will be organized by the Rainbow Film Society as they are doing this since 1992.

The film festival will also feature the 7th edition of Women in Cinema Conference and 3rd West Meets East. Through the festival, the organizers gather the film-makers, critics, and film lovers across the world.

Authorities have asked the participants to submit their projects by September via email.
