The Grammy-nominated rapper, Cardi B was just officially arrested and charged on Monday (1 October) on suspicion of assault and reckless endangerment at a New York strip club.
Bronx rapper surrendered herself to the NYPD after allegedly instigating a fight at Angels Strip Club in Queens on 29 August. A spokesperson for NYPD told CBS News that Cardi B “threw a chair at an unintended target.” Previously, Cardi reportedly denied any involvement in the alleged fight.
The Bronx rapper is accused of ordering members of her entourage to attack two of the club’s bartenders – sisters Jade and Baddie Gi – using bottles and furniture. The attack was related with Cardi B’s suspicion about a physical relationship between the rapper’s husband, Migos’ Offset and Jade.
A source close to Cardi tells the attack was “spontaneous” and was triggered after someone threw a drink. They said nothing was preplaned.
She has to appear in court on October 29.
