California Evolved Into a Hotspot for Crucial New Hardcore Music

The Golden State is utilizing a surge of young talent and establishing a new, welcoming scene for hardcore music

In an interview, Drain singer Sammy Ciaramitaro describes, “You guys are absolutely like how the town seems alike.” Santa Cruz is a city in the Bay Area of California.

Ciaramitaro describes the location as having a certain type of energy. And that uncontrolled energy generates folks who make music like ours” asserts.

One of the many Golden State bands that are advancing hardcore in 2023, including musically & culturally, is Drain. With a fervent online following that is only increasing & intensely devoted DIY groups.
Moss continues, “I saw that as fast as I started going to concerts and taking part. However, there is an implicit affection that seems strong.”

She adds, “We’re just blessed that folks outside our community realized what’s going on. As well as are paying attention, in my opinion.”

ZULU 5 of Los Angeles, which is located 6 hours on the west coast. Shelton describes the present state of California hardcore as “several artists are adopting the original goal of hardcore. Which predicated around quirkiness and anger, and bringing it back.” It strongly committed this time period to the idea of creating something new.
