The most well-known work, The Book Thief, is a historic fiction book, published in 2005. The writer of this book is Australian novelist Markus Zusak. The plot of the book centers on Liesel Meminger’s WWII exploits in Nazi Germany. The novel offers a distinct viewpoint into the lives of the war victims. It portrays “Death” as a physical figure who narrates the narrative. The entire narrative is replete with several concrete motifs.
