Bianca Andreescu Withdraws From French Open

Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu withdraws her name from these years French Open tournament. Dipto Paul Reports.

Last year’s US Open champion also announced that she is not joining any tournament or any single matches in 2020.

By this decision, Bianca joins Ash Barty and Naomi Osaka to withdraw their name from the French Open tournament.

In a twitter post, Bianca wrote, “I have come to the difficult decision to skip the clay-court swing this year and will be taking the remainder of the season off to focus on my health and training.”

“As hard as it was to come to this conclusion, I have so much to look forward to in 2021, including the Olympics; I want to use this time to focus on my game so I can come back stronger and better than ever,” she added.

2019 was the best year for Bianca Andreescu as she becomes the first tennis player from Canada to win a Grand Slam singles championship.

In the same year, she also reached the No 4 Player Ranking that is her career-best record.

The 20 years old tennis player is out of the tennis court from August this year because of a knee injury.
