It’s no secret that former president, Barack Obama is a hip-hop fan. Barry O recently released the annual year-end list of his favorite books and songs.
The former US President was used to sharing the music and books that had been on his stereo when he was still resident at The White House.
On New Year’s Eve, he posted on his official Facebook page, calling the exercise a “nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world.”
He continued: “With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music that I enjoyed the most. From songs that got me moving to stories that inspired me, here’s my 2017 list – I hope you enjoy it and have a happy and healthy New Year.”
Some of the names on his list for 2017 include JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, SZA, Chance The Rapper, The National, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce and Portugal.
