Ayub Bachhu , The Legendary Singer of Bangladesh is No More

Bangladesh’s band music legend Ayub Bachchu died at Square Hosptial in Dhaka on Thursday at around 10:00 am. He was 56, said the hospital authorities. A staff of emergency unit of the hospital stated, he was brought to Square Hospital in an unconscious state around 9:55 am when Doctors declared him dead. He likely died of heart attack reported by the “The Daily Star”, the daily newspaper of Bangladesh.
Ayub Bachchu was the prominent singer, composer and founder of rock band LRB (Love Runs Blind), was born in Chattogram August 16, 1962. He made a debut to the music industry by giving his voice in the song “Harano Bikeler Golpo”. In 1986 he first launched his music album”Rokto Golap” however the success came after the launch of his second album “Moyna”. Since then to now, he was most popular and craze of youngsters in the band song. More than thousands of his songs, sung and directed by him have been exalted by listeners. He became the heartthrob singer overnight around the composing and rendering heart touching songs. Despite being a rock singer, he impressed his listeners with modern, classical and folk songs.
Bachchu performed a live concert with Richard and Le Gang (France), Remo Fernandez, Nandan Bagchi, and Bikram Gosh of India; and Azam Khan (singer), Feelings (now Nogor Baul), Miles, Warfaze and many more. LRB is the only Bangla rock band which played at famous Madison Square Garden in New York City.
His fans also flooded the social media platform expressing their deepest condolence to the iconic figure of the country’ music industry. President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, and cultural affairs minister Asaduzzman Noor of Bangladesh expressed deep shock at the death of popular singer Ayub Bachchu. The mortal remains of Ayub Bachchu will be kept at the Central Shaheed Minar from 10:30 am to 12:30 am on Friday so that his fans and people from all walks of life can pay their last respects.
