Australia Aiming For Crowds To Join Upcoming Sports Events

Australian Sport’s governing body is all set to host the Boxing Day test against India this December and also ready to host the world’s most anticipated tennis tournament Australian Open in January 2021.

Not only that, Australian Sports Authorities and the Australian Government already started working together to invite the audience for the first time during the live matches. Dipto Paul Reports.

Last week Tennis Australia chief executive Craig Tiley hinted reporters about the audience engagement in Melbourne Park.

On Monday, Victoria premier Daniel Andrews said that the government is already started working with sports authority for audience engagement.

Andrews said, “We are having detailed discussions with cricket authorities and the whole AO team. We just have to work out what a safe crowd would be. It is too hard to say now what that number is.”

“It is too early to determine whether they will have crowds. It is too early for us to determine how big any crowd might be. We will get as many people we can get there, provided it is safe,” he added.

Andrew also confirms that they are very hopeful for organizing both the events measuring the safety issue.

If Australian sports authority can make this plan successful, they will be the first nation allowing the audience to watch a live sports event.
