Amy Winehouse tour is planned for 2019, with the late singer in hologram form after almost 8 years she died.
Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father confirmed the Reuters that the tour is coming for the first time in the next year. The tour will raise money for the Winehouse Foundation charity.
Amy Winehouse will be shown in front of a live band and the hologram will be synced up with the vocals from her records. The tour is producing by the Roy Orbison hologram.
“To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way,” saying this Amy’s father added that “This is a dream for us.”
Winehouse’s last performance was at the Tuborg festival in Belgrade on 18 June 2011. Winehouse slurred lyrics and forgot the names of her band members.
Amy Winehouse – Back to Black, a new documentary will be released in November.
Mitch said that “Fans have been clamoring for something new from Amy, but really there isn’t anything new [in terms of music.”
“We felt this would be a tremendous way for Amy both to revisit her fans through a hologram, and also an incredible way to raise money for our foundation.”
