This was Dhoni’s last ICC event as a skipper before his retirement. India lost in the semi-finals against West Indies but made an amazing game show of worth remembrance because of Dhoni. Rohit, reached new heights since he became the batsman opening the game. He is termed as one of the best opening batsmen in this game. Rohit thus names himself as the highest run-getter and also has scored a record of five centuries.

5. ODI career
His debut in 2004 was not worth successful. Dhoni had his firm decision upon making a comeback in the next following year. Next 12 months, his international career was beaming with scores of 148 against Pakistan and 183* versus Sri Lanka, which helped to boost his career.
