Young Lives Foundation

HELP VULNERABLE CHILDREN FACING ISOLATION

The Young Lives Foundation (YLF) is an award-winning children’s charity based in Maidstone, Kent.
YLF believe that every young person in need should have access to the resources and opportunities
needed for them to achieve their potential and lead fulfilled lives.

The charity supports over 3,500 vulnerable people across Kent, ranging from children who are
disengaged in education, to young adults leaving the care system, providing them support through
Advocacy, Mentoring, Befriending and Activity Programmes.

During the current Coronavirus pandemic, as a charity serving the community, YLF is continuing to
deliver its services as largely as it can. Vulnerable children and families still need them, more now
than ever.

Many of YLFs young people are experiencing heightened anxiety, limited social interaction and
isolation from places and people they may feel are their ‘safe space’, especially since schools have
closed, regular youth groups have been suspended and any one-to-one sessions provided across its
services have stopped.

As little as £5 could help provide weekly one-to-one support, online youth forums, entertainment
hampers and care packages. Protect young people’s mental health, well-being and most importantly,
risk of isolation.
