X Liberty London Collaborates with London College of Fashion Students

Calling all fashionistas! A collaborative project between the London College of Fashion and Liberty London has resulted in an exciting new in-store display which will take place this Friday (20 April).
3 lucky (and super talented) London College of Fashion UAL graduates will have their pieces on show in the department store, which has been considered one of the most iconic of its kind within the UK.
This move resulted in a partnership between the 2 organisations for Spring Summer 2018 and involved the young designers gaining exclusive access to the store’s new fabric range.
Fotini Handra, Joseph Standish and Daniel Pascal Tanner are the designers who rose to the challenge; their goal was to develop directional and contemporary pieces from the Liberty London Fabrics SS18 Alpine Symphony collection.
During this process they were granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Liberty design studio – this has previously been reserved specially for brands that Liberty has worked and collaborated with (think Loewe, Paul Smith, Yves Saint Laurent and Richard Quinn).
Mary-Ann Dunkley, Head of Design at Liberty London Fabrics, commented on the collaboration: “It’s great to work with new design talent to see how they interpret our collections in fresh and exciting ways. It’s important for us to engage with the designers of the future. The Alpine Symphony collection is bursting with exciting potential and gives talented young people a brief to play and explore.”
The pieces will be available from Friday 20 April to Friday 4 May in the store’s Haberdashery department.
