The long-awaited Hollywood movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is going to be released in Bangladesh at Star Cineplex on 25th December. Puza Snigdha reports.
After being repeatedly postponed the movie finally released on 16th December. Now its coming to Bangladesh in all branches of Star Cineplex following the chain of US theatrical release.
The movie will hit US on Christmas Day in choosed theatres as well as on HBO Max.
Confirming the release of the film at Star Cineplex, Mejbaz Uddin Ahmed, senior media manager of Star Cineplex said, “DC films usually generate a good response from our audience, so we are confident about Wonder Woman 1984, despite the restrictions induced by the pandemic.”
Star Cineplex re-opened in October with the release of “Mulan” and “Tenet”, after facing around 7 months of closure due to COVID. It is strictly following social distancing and hygiene guidelines, as a result they have decreased 60% ticket selling for each show.

The movie was originally set to release on 5th July of this year but due to the pandemic the release date was postponed.
The American superhero film is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig,
Pedro Pascal and more. It is a sequel of 2017’s Wonder Woman. ‘Wonder Woman’ was released with a budget of only 120 million dollars, but earned over 821 million dollars.
