WHO warns about Covid-19 cases to spike again

The director of the World Health Organization, Dr. Hans Kluge warned in an online news conference to not reduce the Quarantine days for people who are suspected to be exposed to the new virus.

In the conference held in Denmark, Dr. Hans stated that reducing the number of days of quarantine to the slightest bit will lead to sparks in Covid-19 cases across the globe.

In the last week, 53 regions across Europe have recorded over 300,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19. Most of the countries have witnessed a 10 percent rise in the cases over the period of last two weeks.

The warning from the director of WHO has come after France has reduced its mandatory quarantine days from 14 to only 7 days. He also addressed international divisions over the new virus and urged every nation and its people to take necessary actions to tackle this pandemic together.

The reference was believed to be made about the US government who has withdrawn from the WHO. Donald Trump has used the pandemic for his own political agenda towards China.

Furthermore, he has contradicted his own head of US Centres from Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Robert has told in a congressional hearing on Wednesday to expect a Covid-19 vaccine ready for American citizens by the end of 2021. Donald Trump claimed that the vaccine will be ready pretty soon.
