American Blues Musician Found Stabbed at Netherlands College

Sarah Papenheim, a 21 year old American girl, was studying psychology in the Netherlands who was supposed go home for the holidays but found stabbed by her male suite-mate who had allegedly harassed her in the past.
Papenheim fatally stabbed and died of her injuries in her Netherlands apartment in Rotterdam, and six days before her death she informed a friend of USA that she has been threatened. The murderer harassed her in the past also.
Papenheim was a drummer of the Twin Cities’ most respected musicians and moved to the Netherlands two years ago to study psychology at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Papenheim was going to attend Schooner Tavern in Minneapolis, playing the blues with a friend and fellow musician.
Sarah Papenheim, 21, told her friend she was going to have to go to police. The friend, who shared the text messages with The Associated Press on Friday, isn’t sure if she ever did.

“She said she was going to the police. … It didn’t feel like she was in danger.”
The suspected man fled from the crime scene but later arrested by police on Wednesday afternoon at a train station in Eidenhoven but his name has not been reviled yet. The judge in a closed hearing and was ordered detained for two weeks while the investigation continued.
“The suspect arrested was her daughter’s roommate and that he reportedly had been getting more and more angry in recent weeks” said Papenheim’s mother to the Star Tribune.
“The thing that is going through my head is that she was coming home for Christmas, as we were all so excited to see her and to hear that she was coming back that way, and that was just tragic,” said George Moye, a friend of Ms Papenheim.
The stabbing remains under investigation.
