Puthia Temple Complex

The royal palace of Puthia, a small town near Rajshahi district, s a standout amongst the most prominent archaeological locales of Bangladesh. This royal residence of a Mughal time zamindar tradition pulls in a ton of sightseers, history aficionados and analysts.
Puthia Temple Complex is located 23 km to the east of Rajshahi city which consists of a cluster of notable old Hindu temples. Rajshahi city has the the largest number of historic temples in Bangladesh. The Rajbari or Palace of the Raja of Puthia and the Dol Mancha are part of the complex. Puthia Temple complex is a heritage and is an ideal place for the antic lovers. The temples are laid out around a lake with a sprawling lawn. A The temple has exquisite terracotta ornamentation depicting romance of Sree Radha and Sree Krishna. The beauty of the temple takes it height when viewed from road across the Shiva Sagar.
The visitor need to go to the bus stand near the railway station first and one can take the bus from there for Puthia. Its may cost around 20 taka per person. From Puthia Bazar, its 4 taka van fare to reach at the main premise.
