What You Need to Know About The New Virtual Halo Tournament!

A brand-new Halo competitive gaming tournament is going to be launched by the Microsoft, where anyone can participate even if you are not a professional, all to win a cash prize! Puza Sarker Snigdha reports.

Their next release will be ‘Halo 2’ which is the primary game that this tournament series will be based in. The MCC Pro Series will use Halo 2: Anniversary on PC.

Here are few important things to know about the tournament-

  1. Halo developer, 343 Industries, has said it’s launching the new tournament series to “help restore even a small sliver of normalcy” for Halo fans amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. The tournament is free to access by all players. All matches will be played on PC, and both controller and keyboard and mouse inputs are accepted.
  3. In their announcement, 343 said: “We hope that this tournament series will help restore even a small sliver of normalcy for Halo fans and competitors and that everyone and their loved ones are safe and healthy while we all stay home to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus,”
  4. The prize details of the tournament are as follows:
    Open Tournament: $500 (single elimination), $250, $150 and $100
    Pro Tournament: $5,000 (Round robin groups into single elimination), $2,000, $1,000, $500, $500, $250, $250, $250 and $250

The tournament will start from 23rd May.
