Come along and learn how to cook vegan dishes with Mediterranean influences at the third of Chef Katherine Frelon’s series of cookery courses.
Taking place at The Cookhouse in London’s famous Borough Market, the ‘Love your Market’ courses focus on sourcing fresh ingredients from your local market and transforming them into delicious dishes.
This month’s course will focus on vegan dishes, borrowing from Mediterranean cuisines from the Amalfi Coast, France, Spain and Morocco.
When Katherine isn’t cooking magic in Michelin star kitchens, she doubles up as demo chef and a successful author, but most importantly she is the perfect teacher for plant-based salads, marinades and dressings.
The dishes in the course will include a French Roasted Peach and Beet Salad with Rocket and Hazelnut Dressing, a Moroccan Bakula with Couscous, and a Spanish Inspired Baked Red Lentil Falafel dish.
The training day will start with a talk by Katherine about the importance of a balanced vegan diet, before she shows guests how to make the best out of a local market and cook lunch for everyone attending.
The afternoon will offer an opportunity for guests to cook alongside her, and discuss topics of interest with Katherine, as they learn alongside her.
The one-day course will run on Saturday 23rd June from 9:30am – 16:00pm, with tickets costing £95 and can be bought here.
