Amazon Prime TV shows in 2022

In 2022, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and HBO Max to release new shows and films. Several shows and films are postponed from the previous year to 2022. Here’s a rundown of some of the top series coming to your television this year. Don’t forget to watch them.

The Boys season 3

The Boys season 3 has wrapped filming, as confirmed by Amazon. Taking into account previous filming schedules of past seasons and how they lined up to actual air dates helps us work out a (hopefully) fairly accurate release window. The Boys season 1 started shooting in May 2018 and finished up in October 2018, eventually airing in July 2019 – a gap of nine months. The Boys season 3 will likely arrive in early to mid-2022. No official word yet on who’s returning, though we can certainly make an educated guess after what’s happened. Expect Vought CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) to make a handful of appearances. Claudia Doumit’s Congresswoman Victoria Neuman is going to be a major focus. Soldier Boy, a Supe who is essentially a twisted take on Captain America, will be played by Jensen Ackles.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will return for a fourth season in 2022. Amazon has confirmed the release date, which follows the high and lows of Midge Maisel’s chaotic stand-up career. With a total of eight episodes, two episodes will drop each Friday over the course of four weeks. Fans of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s previous drama Gilmore Girls can expect some familiar faces to appear. Midge’s confidence and reputation knocked, it seems in season four she’s trying to make her own way in the stand-up world. It’s likely we’ll see more flirtatious interactions between the two comedians, and a rival may pop up in the shape of Milo Ventimiglia’s character. In the season four teasers, we see Midge and Susan making plans as to where to go from here. On February 18, 2022, the first two episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 will premiere on Amazon Prime.

Reacher

Amazon’s Prime Video has set a premiere date for Reacher. The series is based on Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels. Alan Ritchson stars as the hulking ex-military police investigator who helps those most in need. All eight episodes of the first season will drop on the same day in more than 240 countries and territories. Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Hugh Thompson, Maria Sten, Harvey Guillén, Kristin Kreuk, Currie Graham, Marc Bendavid, Willie C. Carpenter, Maxwell Jenkins, and Bruce McGill also star. The teaser highlights Ritchson’s physical likeness to Child’s original character from the book in stark contrast to two Tom Cruise-led Paramount film versions. Ritchson, who has a role on DC Universe’s Titans as Hawk/Hank Hall, fits the bill perfectly.
