Two People Killed in Gunfire at Seattle

A gunman opened fire on two motorists and a Metro bus in Seattle on Wednesday during the afternoon rush, killing two people and badly wounding two others.
Large crowds began to gather, as the gunman opened fire. He then tried to flee in a stolen car but police were able to apprehend him following a brief standoff, police said in a statement.
The gunman targeted a motorist at the intersection and shot at her, before walking into the street and firing at an oncoming bus. The bus was able to turn around, preventing any casualties.
“The bus driver had activated an emergency alarm to report being hit by gunfire, and that none of his 12 passengers was injured,” said King County’s Metro transit authority on Twitter.
The suspect then approached a second motorist in a Toyota Prius and opened fire, killing the driver.
Seeing the police the gunman climbed into the car and sped of causing a crash and killing a driver of a different vehicle as he tried to get away.
“We only believe that this is a one, lone suspect involved in this random, senseless act”, saying this Marc Garth Green, Seattle Deputy Police Chief added, “We’re outraged at what this suspect did.”
Police said one driver was killed by gunfire and the second in the crash. The Times describes the victims as a male in his 50s and the second as a male in his 70s. They also commented that the shooter was a 33-year-old Seattle occupant who is now in police custody.
