Tremendous Earthquake Rocked New Zealand

A terrible earthquake in range of 6.2 stroke New Zealand in the morning, today that caused parliament to be suspended and also shoke the whole city.
The vice-president of the Parliament, Anne Tolley, took the decision to stop the parliament.
The earthquake first felt in in central New Zealand and it wounded a depth of 207 kilometers southwest of Taumarunui. The earthquake took place during the royal visit of Prince Harry and Meghab Markle.
The earthquake Felt widely around the lower North Island and upper South Island and around 15,500 people felt the tremor. Reportedly the earthquake felt for 30 seconds. People were describing that how the their houses swaying and pictures falling off walls.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern posted a tweet saying that it was “widely felt across central NZ” and urged residents to check on those around them.”
“There was an audience in the galleries and people need to make sure their staff is well. We are in the safest building, probably in the country, but only to make sure and get advice,” said Tolley.
In the past two years, the country has been struck by five earthquakes all above 5.5 in magnitude, and with two above 7.0 occurring between September and November last year.
“It was quite a significant shake but no damage or injuries have been reported yet,” said a Christchurch Fire and Emergency spokesman.
The quake was also felt strongly in Hastings. One woman said the carpark was “rolling underneath me at Countdown”.
No damage or serious injury has been reported yet. Kris Faafoi, Civil Defence Minister suggested people to be prepared for the aftershocks.
