American rock band Blink-182 have just announced that they are postponing their Las Vegas Residency. The news comes as drummer Travis Barker is said to be recovering from blood clots.
The band released a statement concerning the news.
“Friends, Travis Barker is suffering from blood clots in both arms and unfortunately cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team.”
“The situation is currently being closely monitored. Due to this situation it is with great regret that the blink-182 ‘Kings of the Weekend’ Las Vegas residency dates this weekend must be rescheduled.”
Barker also added, “Drumming is my life and It kills that i can’t perform for you guys this weekend. I hope to be back as soon as I can (sic).”
The band had already begun their Vegas shows in May. While Barker recovers, the shows scheduled for 15 – 16 June have been cancelled. No word on additional cancellations or rescheduled dates.
