Trans Actors Mock Scarlett Johansson for Trans Role in “Rub & Tug”

Trans-gender actors mocked Scarlett Johansson by making a video of them pretending to audition for a number of her transgender role for the upcoming film ‘Rub & Tug’.
Trans actors have been vocal in their criticism of Johannson for accepting the role, and the video features a series of trans men “auditioning” for previous Johansson roles, including Ghost World, Her, and The Avengers.
The video finishes with one of the actors Scott Taylor Schofield being offered a role but turning it down on the grounds that “cis women are actually really marginalized in Hollywood”.

The Avengers’ actor was slammed after the casting news emerged online last week and the he backlash shows no sign of slowing down.
The actress has also been criticised for a statement she released to Bustle in response to the backlash over her accepting to the part.
“Tell them they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman’s reps for comment,” said Johansson in that statement.
Johansson was cast as Lois Jean Gill in the movie, which is based on Gill’s real-life story where Gill born female but later assumed the identity of a man and operated a massage parlour and prostitution business in Pittsburgh in the 1970s and ’80s.
