Labour has accused Boris Johnson’s marketing campaign of “lying and cheating” to try to distract attention from the high minister’s insensitive response to an ill 4-year-old boy pressured to sleep on a medical institution ground.
According to Labour, the party of the Boris Johnson has tried to distract the media when Conservative sources claimed an adviser to the Health Secretary was hit by a Labour protester at Leeds General infirmary on Monday.
Columnists had said Tory sources disclosed to them they accepted a protestor had smacked the counselor in the face in an episode which came during a battle visit. In any case, video later shared via web-based networking media seemed to show the counselor strolling into the demonstrator’s arm as he was pointing.
The claims sparked a huge backlash, with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn accusing Tories of “inventing fake stories to distract people” from a storm over a shortage of beds at the hospital.
“The Tories are so desperate to distract from a four-year-old boy sleeping on a hospital floor because of their cuts to the NHS that, once again, they have resorted to barefaced lying,” said a Labour spokesperson and also added, “This is a new low and the Conservative party has serious questions to answer.”
