Global Pride 2020
On Saturday, June 27, Pride organisations from across the globe are joining forces for Global Pride 2020! Hosting an epic 24-hour live stream, this unmissable event will feature films, talks, performances and speeches from musicians, performers, political leaders and human rights activists. Additionally, organisers are working with Black Lives Matter in an effort to amplify Black voices.
The all-day live stream will be hosted on YouTube by choreographer Todrick Hal and will also be available via iHeartRadio’s YouTube channel and the Global Pride website.
London Trans+ Pride – Black Lives Matter March
London Trans+ Pride will lead a peaceful protest for Black Trans Live Matter on Saturday. This march will be a demonstration against transphobic legislation proposed by the government, as well as a commemoration of Black Trans lives that have been tragically lost and a celebration of the Black Trans community. Supported by London Black Lives Matter, the march will begin at Wellington Arch at 2PM and end with speeches at Downing Street at 3PM. Organisers have asked attendees to bring flowers, wear masks and keep to social distancing as much as possible.
Pride Inside
“We might not be able to march or party but LGBTQ+ people won’t stay hidden this summer, as Pride Inside takes over the nation’s outdoor advertising sites to showcase our community in all its diverse, united, socially distant glory…”
Photographs of over 100 queer people, which have been taken by queer photographers, will be displayed on over 1,000 of Clear Channel UK’s advertising screens for two weeks from June 15th-28th! All taken from a socially distanced position, these will be on display in towns and cities up and down the country.
