TOKYO 2020 Para Sport Dance”!

Come on and dance to the 22 athletic events of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 with “TOKYO 2020 Para Sport Dance”! Pinkfong and Hogi from the popular YouTube video Baby Shark join up with Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games mascot Someity to bring you fun and exciting dances. The song and dances are inspired by the movements of the 22 sports of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Learn the moves and dance along!

Koto heartful art exhibition

The “koto heartful art exhibition,” featuring works by artists with disabilities, uses cutting-edge tech to create an interactive virtual exhibition! In Koto Ward, one of the ten locations hosting the Tokyo 2020 Games, selected exhibitions of artwork by local artists with disabilities were held at three venues between January 2020 and March 2021. The artwork is now virtually available for viewing via a next-generation VR system that lets anyone enjoy the art together with animated characters. The exhibition is being held from May 15 to September 30.

POCORART World Exhibition

 “Chance and Necessity and …”, a collection of 240 pieces from 50 artists from 22 countries, will be held at 3331 Art Chiyoda from July 16. The POCORART exhibition (an abbreviation for “Place of ‘Core+Relation ART’”) will be displayed at 3331 Arts Chiyoda, an art center with the unique focus on being “a place where people with and without disabilities can meet and inspire each other.”

Tokyo Biennale 2020/2021

Although postponed last year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Tokyo Biennale 2020/2021, an international art festival for the new normal, is set to be held this summer. This art festival isn’t just for artists, it’s a challenge to create and share new experiences by involving citizens via microfinancing and social media by creating venues that take advantage of the special characteristics of Tokyo and to provide experiences that are unique to the city. You won’t want to miss what challenges Tokyo Biennale tackles this year.

PETALS TOKYO

Welcome to PETALS TOKYO, where you can lodge in four floating cottages and enjoy art. Waterfront Tennozu has been transformed into a canal-side development with open spaces along the canals its waterways and facilities for everybody to enjoy contemporary art. Since last November, Warehouse TERRADA’s lodging facility has been opened to all. Alongside this, PETALS TOKYO commenced an accommodation plan with PIGMENT TOKYO which offers workshops using traditional painting materials as well as cutting-edge art materials and techniques.
