Thomas Cook Airlines have announced that they will be sponsoring Manchester Pride’s The Big Weekend four-day event for the fourth year in a row.
The Manchester-based airline won’t just be the headline sponsor of the event as a whole but will also be sponsoring the Main Stage which will be renamed in their honour to thank them for their continued support.
Manchester Pride and Thomas Cook Airlines will continue to work together to put together the best event to date. Tens of thousands of people come together at Manchester Pride’s flagship event during the bank holiday weekend in August.
“We have true partners in Thomas Cook Airlines who continue to be committed sponsors of one of our flagship events”, said Mark Fletcher, chief executive for Manchester Pride. “I know that this is an important partnership at the heart of their business and would like to personally thank them for their continued enthusiasm and support as we plan for The Big Weekend 2018”.
Airline representatives, including cabin crew and pilots, will participate in the Manchester Pride Parade. This will give visitors the chance to discover a bit more about what Thomas Cook Airlines has to offer, from recruitment opportunities to holiday destinations.
“We love Manchester. It is our UK headquarters and we are proud to once again sponsor Manchester Pride’s The Big Weekend in 2018”, said Christoph Debus, chief group airlines officer. “We will celebrate the amazing diversity of this city and all of our communities, and show that Manchester is an exciting hub that we connect to the most beautiful destinations around the world”.
Thomas Cook Airlines offer long haul flights to popular destinations in the US and shorter flights to European holiday destinations.
Manchester Pride’s The Big Weekend will take place between 24-27 Aug.
