The Handmaid’s Tale Renewed for Season 5

Hulu has confirmed that The Handmaid’s Tale will be continuing to tell Margaret Atwood’s story in its season 5. Puza Snigdha reports.

Dana Walden, Chairman of Entertainment, has confirmed on 10th December that The Handmaid’s Tale has officially been renewed for it’s the fifth season which will feature Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer and many more.

“We’re very grateful to Hulu and MGM that the show will be returning for a fifth season, and especially to our loyal fans for their support,” said Bruce Miller, creator, and showrunner.

The series is based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, The Handmaid’s Tale that depicts life in the dystopia of Gilead where women are stripped of their human rights, and the leading character June frequently attempts to flee to Canada.

MGM Television is producing the series and executive produced by Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Eric Tuchman, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Sheila Hockin, Kira Snyder, and Yahlin Chang.

The first season of The Handmaid’s Tale includes 10 episodes, season two and three has 13 episodes.

The fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale is set to premiere in 2021 and will feature 10 episodes.

The Handmaid’s Tale released a new season every year for three years but the fourth season was on halt because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, fans are expecting season five to continue featuring June’s resistance against the Gilead regime,
