Guy Ritchie’s latest film takes all the elements we expect from him and is an excellent return to form. Crime? Check. London accents? Check. A blend of dark comedy interchangeably mixed in? You know it. Matthew McConaughey plays an American druglord in Britain who is looking to hang up his life of crime and give it all up, but of course getting out of the crime game is never that simple. With Hugh Grant and Charlie Hunnam in supporting roles and a killer wardrobe with clothes that pop with equally colourful cast of characters. Might be worth visiting some of his earlier films if you’re unfamiliar with Ritchie’s style, as it doesn’t differentiate from what he does so well.
