Taylor Swift to Auction Guitar To Raise Fund

Popstar Taylor Swift is set to auction her guitar which she played ‘Betty’ with at the Academy of Country Music Awards, to support and to raise funds for COVID-19 relief. Puza Snigdha reports.

Not only Taylor Swift, but Bradley Cooper and Keith Urban have donated guitars to country music auction to raise funds for those who are suffering and struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taylor Swift has given the black Gibson acoustic guitar signed by herself which she played at the live debut performance of her new song “betty” in September.

Along with the guitar she has given a case, strap and five personalised guitar picks. Among the five picks one commemorating her 2017 album ‘reputation’ and the other four commemorating her 2019 album ‘Lover.

According to Christie’s auction house, Swift’s guitar could fetch $25,000 to $40,000. The guitar will be auctioned at the upcoming ‘NASHVILLE: An Auction To Benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund’ which will be start from 22 October and will run until 29th October.

Bradley Cooper’s electric guitar is also up for sale with an estimate of $2,000 to $4,000.He played the guitar during the rehearsals for and filming of 2018’s A Star Is Born.

The auction also includes items such as a bedazzled dulcimer owned by Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow’s vintage Baldoni accordion, guitars from Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam, Blake Shelton, and Vince Gill.

Except from the musical instruments, Tim McGraw is giving is F131 Hellcat motorcycle. Carrie Underwood donated the gown which she wore to the Academy of Country Music awards show in Nashville in September.
