Taylor Swift Releases Surprise Album ‘Folklore’

Taylor Swift has just dropped a new album “Folklore”, which features collaborations with Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon, The National‘s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. Puza Snigdha reports.

The pop star surprised her audience when she took the Instagram on Thursday and announced about her eighth studio album ‘Folklore’ which is coming in less than one year since her last album “Lover” released. Swift wrote and recorded entirely in isolation.

“Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening,” she wrote. She gave the reference of her canceled tour for her August 2019 album, “Lover.” “But there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen.”

Swift posted cryptic Instagram photos and said the new record was an opportunity for her to pour out “all of my whims, dreams, fears.”

The Grammy-winning singer started with the things which she couldn’t make and except for the album which she will be dropping in “tonight at midnight.”

“Surprise. Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into,”

“I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; @aarondessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), @boniver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and @jackantonoff (who is basically musical family at this point).”

Swift mentioned that the music video for the song Cardigan will premiere at midnight Eastern.
