Taylor Swift is giving a Christmas treat to her fans with her ninth studio album, and second surprise LP of the year “ Evermore”. Puza Snigdha reports.

The album is out now along with the music video for single “willow.” The video for “willow” was directed by Swift and shot by Oscar nominee Rodrigo Prieto.

Swift teased the arriving of the album on 10th Dec by posting several photos on Instagram before dropping the album’s cover and tracklist.

“Evermore” features collaboration with Haim called “No Body, No Crime”, Bon Iver collaborates for a duet song and National’s Aaron Dessner.

Swift addresses the upcoming album as “folklore’s sister record.” I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and Folklore’s sister record is out tonight,” Taylor wrote. “It’s called Evermore.”

The pop star’s first album of this year is Folklore which was one of the top albums of the year. The album also earned Grammy nomination for best new album of the year.

The upcoming album will have 15 tracks, has two bonus tracks as part of its deluxe edition and will cost $9.99 for a digital copy of the record.

Describing the song’s origin Taylor Swift wrote in a post, “I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released.”

Currently, Swift is busy with re-recording her first six albums. “The reason I’m not there tonight is I’m re-recording all of my old music in the studio we originally recorded it.”

Swift is turning 31 just after two days after the album released and 31 is the reverse number of 13 which is Swift’s lucky number as she believes.
