Taylor Swift Inspires her Followers to Vote against “Fear-Based Extremism”

Taylor Swift has continued to urge her fans to vote against “fear-based extremism” in the upcoming US mid-term elections.
The “Delicate” singer submitted a lengthy Instagram post on 7 Oct for the first time declaring her political views.
Now Swift has spoken out politically again on the photo-sharing site, which, thus far during her tour, she had primarily used to share the occasional picture of a fallen tree or her playing Scrabble with her mom.
‘These two Tennessee women voted for the candidate who has proven himself to be reasonable and trustworthy,’ Taylor began her caption. She added “We want leadership, not fear-based extremism.”
Swift, 28, currently on tour in Australia and presumably voted early, has also been posting numerous photos on her Instagram story from fans who’ve been documenting their voting experiences. It’s possible that her posts have been having an impact.
The singer’s post received praise across the world, including the support of former rival Katy Perry.
