Tasty Tuesday: The Perfect Mango Mousse cake recipe!

Our decadent triple-layered mango mousse cake is the perfect summer treat to fix your serious mango cravings! Try out this recipe step by step to make a creamy and tangy mousse cake right in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

To make the sponge cake:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence

To make the mango mousse:

  • 2 medium-size mango Mangoes (puree)
  • 1/2 can of condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup melted white chocolate
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp of gelatin

To make the mango jello:

  • 1 medium-size mango ( puree)
  • mango essence
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp gelatin

Method:

  • At first, make a simple sponge cake by beating up 2 eggs with an electric mixture. Fold all the dry ingredients in the mixture and put it on an 8 inch greased pan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 360 degrees. Set aside the cake to cool down completely.
  • Meanwhile prepare the mango jello by combining mango puree, sugar, and mango essence in a blender. Add bloomed gelatin and pour the jello mixture into another 8-inch silicon can mold. Refrigerate for 3-5 hours.
  • To make the creamy mango mousse, put diced mangoes, condensed milk, and molten white chocolate in a food processor to make a smooth paste. Add the lemon juice to complement the sweet-tart flavor.
  • In another bowl take a cup of heavy whipped cream and whip with an electric mixture till they form hard peaks. Fold the mixture with whipped cream add gelatin.
  • Now it is time to assemble your mousse cake. Take a 10-inch silicon cake mold and put a thick layer of mango mousse at the bottom.
  • Take out the mango jello and place it on top of the mousse layer. Finally, add the sponge cake and cover the silicon mold with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate overnight and serve it the next day with fresh mangoes and mint leaves.
