Looking for a sweet and sour dessert to make? Try out this easy lemon-lime tarts recipe!


 For tart shell:

  • 2  cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 8 tbsp Icing sugar
  • 1 ½  tbsp vanilla extract

For Lemon Custard:

  • Jest from 1 lime
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks

Mix the ingredients for making the tart shells together to make a soft dough. Press the dough against tart tins to give the shape. Bake it for 30 minutes at 190°C. Cool them down over a rack.

Next, pour sugar, lemon juice, and water in a pan over medium heat. Mix the cornstarch with a little water and add it to the pan. Keep stirring the pan to avoid any lumps.

Now, whisk the egg yolks to the mixture very slowly to avoid the yolks from being cooked. Finally, add 2 tablespoons of butter to smoothen the mixture. Keep whisking for 2 minutes and then take out of the stove to cool down.

Finally, fill the custard in a piping bag and pipe them over the tart shells. Add berries, lemon jests, edible flowers, and lemon slices for garnishing!
